About Me:

I am Alessandro a qualified British Italian therapist based in Brighton. I believe everyone has the ability to grow, gain self-awareness, and achieve self-acceptance and happiness.

I am a firm believer that one of the most important parts of therapy is having someone in your corner and someone who works with you to create an incredibly rewarding relationship of support.

My approach is collaborative: I support you in understanding yourself, identifying what helps or hinders your growth, and working towards self-acceptance. I have extensive experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodiverse clients, and my own experiences within these communities inform my understanding and empathy.

I use a combination of humanistic and psychodynamic approaches, including Gestalt therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and elements of Person-Centred therapy. Together, we will shape sessions that provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore who you are and discover what works best for you.

To ensure that you know that sessions with me can work I offer the following:

  • A Free 30 minute introductory chat

  • 2 Free 50 minute full sessions

  • 3 Sessions at £25 per session

  • All following sessions at full £35 Price

Who are we?

Eclano counselling is the culmination of a journey that started more years ago than I care to remember when I looked for a therapist who would like me or at the very least accept me for me. I trawled through the listings and struggled to find a therapist that made me think “they are the one” especially when it comes to my neurodivergence and sexuality. I finally found one and it changed my life. Fast forward a few years and I am now fully qualified with a wealth of knowledge but more importantly - me still being me. I use the theory and weave it seamlessly into something that is uniquely me. I am a therapist here to support you not to be your teacher.

Whether you are new to therapy or have been before, whether you are an LGBTQIA+ individual navigating life and trying to find yourself, whether you are trying to deal with life’s challenges that leave you overwhelmed you can rest assured that I will help you feel less alone and like there is a better future for you or even if you are dealing with work stresses then Eclano Counselling has a place for you. A safe space for you to just be you whoever that is, whatever pronoun, whatever gender or sexual identity.

Seeking therapy is brave and admitting you need help with lifes challenges isn’t simple but Eclano provides a safe space to be listened to and to be alongside you without judgement or pressure.

My approach is collaborative and works with you. If you want to talk through your ideas or be challenged kindly or if you find comfort in silence that is okay. I am here to work with you not against you.

You deserve to feel safe, to feel heard and to feel supported. You deserve kindness. You’re good enough.

Feel free - in your own time - to reach out if this sounds like it could work for you.
